To all you up-and-coming skate beasts: When you get hurt, give your body time to heal like David did, and don’t neglect the need to work your muscles. We all know the aggravating feeling of wanting to skate when you’re hurt, but if you give yourself enough time you’ll be able to get back to your normal level of pre-injury skating pretty quickly.
