Reza Farazmand is the author of a series of comics called Poorly Drawn Lines. We think they’re pretty awesome.
Ancient Japanese Drawings Depicting Men Farting
Yip, you read that right. These ancient images were produced during the Japanese Edo period (1603 – 1868). They show he-gassen, or “farting competition”. Farting on each other, women and animals, nothing is held back in the fart wars. Apparently similar drawings were used to ridicule westerners towards the end of the Edo period, with images depicting the westerners blown away by Japanese farts. The images all came from a scroll, which was scanned in and then cut up digitally.

Slayer Goes To Church
Comedians/comedy actors James Franco and Seth Rogan made this spoof of Kanye West’s video for his song called “Bound”. Apparently they were bored on the set of ‘The Interview’ and decided to make the video.
Here’s the original video:
Mastering the internet! This is brilliant.
Is this planned? Did he just seize the opportunity to do a lip-synch dance? We aren’t sure, but that dude is pretty cool.
Nothing like some awkward tanning with strangers…

This is a combination of a Funny Fridaze and a Wipeout Wednesday combined into one big Skateboarding Fail Compilation.
The Honest Trailer for World War Z
Some of us actually enjoyed this movie, but there’s nothing wrong with poking a bit of fun sometimes.
Is this the best clip from any series ever? Maybe. Anyone who works in an office has probably done something like this a couple time. Parkour!
How To Write A Hipster Rock Anthem
Maybe a little cynical, but this how-to guide on how to write a ‘hipster’ rock anthem is pretty funny.
This song was written ironically. Combining elements from bands like Arcade Fire, the Lumineers, and Vampire Weekend, this song was written and recorded in two days, and then we made a video that looks like an Urban Outfitters commercial.
Music written and recorded by Jared Sosa, and performed by Jared Sosa and Jamie Renee Williams
A somewhat morbid, but rad short animated film about the pro’s of being dead; Don’t Fear Death by Dice Productions.
Android Kitkat 4.4 – The future of confectionery
The very clever and funny new ad from Kitkat is pretty good. The ad is part of a campaign for a colab between Google and Nestlé.
While the ad is funny, the website is the really cool part of the campaign.
College Humor did a parody video of technology advertising that is pretty spot on. Try watch a serious one after this. Enjoy.
Thrasher Magazine posted an article recently about really bad attempts at skateparks. We thought the photos were too good not to share. They are hilarious in some cases. Surely we have some cases like this in South Africa? Know of anywhere? Send us a photo of your local ‘Piece of Suck’ skate park.

It seems that in South Africa one of the great divides is the Marmite vs. Bovril debate. The most recent ad from Marmite is pretty funny, ripping off the style of those reality TV animal rescue shows. The campaign is focused around the fact that 1 in 10 Brits admit that they haven’t opened their jar of Marmite in three months.
Where do you stand?
Hipsters & Hashtags – Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues
Local Cape Town comedy duo Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues poke fun at the “hipster” stereotype, then go back to the 90’s.

Ever wondered which 99 problems Jay-Z is talking about in his song “99 Problems”? Well, illustrator Ali Graham did. He started a blog called ’99 Problems’, where he posts a problem a day. Not only are they pretty funny, but the illustrations are beautiful as well. These are some of our favourites.
What better for a Funny Fridaze feature than the latest Enjoi video. Watch Jerry Hsu, Louie Barletta, Ben Raemers, Cairo Foster, Dane Burman, Jake Hayes and Anthony Mapstone get through a hard demo tour with smiles and laughs.
Apparently the “C” word has a different meaning in Australia?
The Poo Song – A little ditty called ‘The Poo Song’
“Don’t be snobby, test your jobby!”
We thought this was pretty funny, and a fresh approach to educating people about a pretty serious topic. The NHS encourages older men and women to check their poo for signs of bowel cancer, a problem on the rise in Scotland right now.
So, next time your mom, dad or uncle Vlad goes to the loo, tell them to test their poo!
The Good Company Slicer by Henry Gunderson
We thought this was amazing. Who doesn’t love pizza? Combine pizza with skateboarding and you’ve struck gold. Henry Gunderson skates his delectable creation around the streets of San Francisco.

“The Walking (And Talking) Dead” — A Bad Lip Reading of The Walking Dead.
We were almost crying we laughed so hard at this. While it is hilariously funny, it is brilliantly done. The characters really look like they’re saying those things. ‘Bad Lip Reading’ is actually a video channel on YouTube, so if you have end-of-the-month internet cap to finish, go check them out. Be sure to watch the Bad Lip Reading of Twilight and of Obama’s Inauguration.
Think that bathrooms are boring & a waste of time? Not so for the guys from Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues – here’s something we can ALL do to use our time in the bathroom wisely. It’s INSTRUMENTS YOU CAN PLAY ON THE TOILET!

Yuri Suzuki and Mark McKeague really wanted to find an effective way to separate the biscuit from the creme in Oreo cookies. So they set their minds on a solution, and this is what they came up with. Regardless of what anyone thinks, it looks like these guys had a lot of fun working on this project, and finally achieved their goal. Work hard, persevere, succeed.
Funny or rad? We don’t know, but we sure feel like an Oreo right now.
Local Cape Town based comedy act, Derick Watts & The Sunday Blues, decided to visit Cape Town stadium for Justin Bieber’s concert the other night. They interviewed a few “Beliebers”, and this was the result.
This video from 1964 is a “shred” of I Get Around by The Beach Boys, one of the band’s most recognizable, classic hit songs. We thought it was hilarious. What do you think?
